Union County Little League

Safety Statement

Union County Little League aims to provide a safe environment for all players, coaches, volunteers, and spectators. The safe operation of the league is a priority of the Board of Directors. Our safety plan is dedicated in preventing injury and accidents, with education and training of our coaches and volunteers. Union County Little League provides and regulates appropriate gear, equipment, and facilities for the children to use. Reporting and tracking injury and accidents allows the league to review safety processes and issues that arise.

Little League Insurance

UCLL provides Accident and Liability insurance to all chartered members, under the American International Group (AIG).

This covers all players and approved volunteers that have filled out and passed a background check. This insurance protects players and volunteers if an accident were to occur.

Reporting Child Abuse

The "Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Act of 2017" mandates that all amateur sports organizations, which participate in an interstate or international amateur athletic competition and whose membership includes any adult who is in regular contact with an amateur athlete who is a minor must report suspected child abuse, including sexual abuse, within 24 hours to law enforcement.

To protect the youth in our  county, it is mandatory to pass a background check in order to become a volunteer for the UCLL.
